Excellent experience! Shipping was incredibly fast, and everything arrived securely packaged and exactly as expected. What really stood out was the customer service—they were quick to respond, professional, and very helpful throughout the process. It’s refreshing to deal with a company that clearly values its customers, as I had many questions prior to purchase. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again and highly recommend them based on the outstanding service and fast delivery. Also the website maps out what each peptide does, just awesome all around

What is PT-141?
PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a melanocortin-receptor agonist studied for sexual desire and arousal. Unlike vascular agents, it works in the central nervous system — an α-MSH-type peptide that acts on the brain’s melanocortin pathways.
How PT-141 works
PT-141 activates central melanocortin receptors, with high affinity for MC4R (and activity at MC1R/MC3R), which sit largely in the central nervous system. It is thought to work through hypothalamic pathways involved in sexual desire and arousal; in animal studies it activates hypothalamic neurons.
What the research shows
- Phase 3 RECONNECT trials (Kingsberg et al., 2019). In two randomized trials in premenopausal women with hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD), bremelanotide significantly improved sexual desire and reduced associated distress versus placebo.
- Subgroup consistency (Simon et al., 2022). Benefits were consistent across age, weight, BMI and other subgroups.
- Foundational pharmacology (Molinoff et al., 2003). Established PT-141 as a central melanocortin (MC3R/MC4R) agonist for sexual dysfunction.
Context & candour: bremelanotide was marketed as Vyleesi for HSDD in premenopausal women — the only setting with controlled human evidence (noted for context only). Its use for other purposes or populations is not supported by comparable trials. Use belongs under a physician’s guidance.

What PT-141
is studied for
Here’s a plain-English look at the areas researchers focus on with PT-141 — context to discuss with your physician, not medical advice.
Central mechanism
Acts on brain melanocortin pathways rather than on blood vessels.
Sexual desire
Examined in Phase 3 trials for effects on sexual desire in women.
MC4R agonist
High affinity for the MC4 receptor in the central nervous system.
On-demand design
Studied as an as-needed subcutaneous peptide.
Distinct pathway
A different pathway than vascular agents.
Frequently asked questions
What does PT-141 do?
PT-141 is studied for sexual desire and arousal. Unlike vascular agents, it works in the brain: it activates central melanocortin receptors, mainly MC4R, in pathways involved in desire.
Is PT-141 the same as bremelanotide?
Yes. PT-141 is the development code for bremelanotide, which was marketed as Vyleesi for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women.
Does PT-141 work?
In the two Phase 3 RECONNECT trials, bremelanotide significantly improved sexual desire and reduced related distress versus placebo in premenopausal women with HSDD. Use in other groups, including men, isn’t supported by comparable trials, so talk to your physician.
How do I take PT-141?
Dosing, frequency and injection site are set by the prescribing physician for each person, so we don’t give dosing advice. If you need help with the mixing math for a dose your physician has set, our free peptide reconstitution calculator works it out for any vial size.
