CJC-1295 with DAC is the long-acting version of the GHRH analog CJC-1295. The added “drug-affinity complex” (DAC) lets it bind to albumin in the blood, stretching its action from minutes to days — a sustained elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1.

How CJC-1295 (DAC) works

Like all GHRH analogs, CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor on the pituitary and stimulates the body’s own growth hormone. The DAC version adds a group that covalently binds circulating albumin, protecting the peptide from breakdown and giving a half-life of roughly 6–8 days. Rather than a brief pulse (as with the No-DAC form), it produces a sustained, multi-day rise in GH and IGF-1.

What the research shows

  • Prolonged GH/IGF-1 (Teichman et al., 2006). A single dose raised GH 2–10× and IGF-1 1.5–3× for up to ~6–11 days in healthy adults, with an estimated half-life of ~6–8 days.
  • Pulsatility preserved (Ionescu & Frohman, 2006). Continuous CJC-1295 stimulation raised GH while preserving the natural pulsatile rhythm.
  • Restored growth in models (Alba et al., 2006). Once-daily CJC-1295 normalised growth and raised IGF-1 in GHRH-deficient mice.
